Mission/Purpose of Position

Based on customer requirements, define system requirements for the product, design or modify system architecture, and assess safety risks. Propose technical system solutions throughout all project phases. Collaborate on internal innovation projects (process, product).

Main Responsibility

• Analyze customer requirements
• Design and modify system requirements, project-specific configuration requirements, and system interface requirements
• Assess the impact of external requirements on internal system specifications
• Create documents for project-specific safety analysis
• Perform customer-specific S-FMEA analysis
• Design and modify system architecture
• Identify discrepancies between existing architecture and system requirements
• Manage change requests in the platform based on customer-specific needs (Change Management).
• Perform project-specific system calculations
• Ensure high-quality customer contact and share knowledge globally within organization.
• Communicate design decisions with all stakeholders
• Provide work estimates (time/number of RQs) for system changes
• Solve complex problems using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., A3).

Required Competencies

• Expert knowledge:
• ISO 26262 (functional safety standard for automotive electronics and systems).

• Advanced knowledge:
• Principles of Mechatronics
• System Architecture Design
• Control and Regulation
• Automotive SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination)
• Solve complex problems using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., A3)

Required Experience

• Master’s degree (IT, Robotic, Cybernetic, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering)
• Fluent in English with advanced proficiency
• 3-5 year of experience in System Design
• Product System design and development in automotive Area
• Leadership and international experience considered a plus
