A global technology leader in Milan is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to support initiatives around environmental data management and regulatory compliance. The successful applicant will have a Master's degree and at least five years of experience in sustainability. This role involves working cross-functionally to achieve Mission-to-Zero goals and provide guidance on sustainability trends. The position operates in a hybrid work model.

Competenze

  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles and relevant laws in Europe.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.

This Position reports to: Product Manager

Your role and responsibilities

This position supports the Installation Products Division in driving sustainability and ESG compliance. You will focus on collecting and managing environmental data, implementing EU Green Deal directives, and developing roadmaps for emissions reduction and waste minimization. The role combines regulatory alignment, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to advance our Mission-to-Zero and Net-Zero goals.

The work model for the role is: hybrid (#LI hybrid)

Locations: Poland, Hungary, Italy, UK

  • Collecting and validating supplier primary data for LCA/EPD and Scope 3 upstream emissions reporting.
  • Assisting in implementing ESG processes for EU Green Deal directives (CBAM, SUPD, EUDR, PPWR).
  • Contributing to Scope 1 & 2 emissions roadmap development (Electricity & Gas), supporting Mission-to-Zero/Net-Zero initiatives.
  • Supporting ESG internal audits and ensuring compliance in Scope 1 & 2 emissions reporting.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing waste intensity reduction programs.
  • Maintaining sustainability master data and improving reporting tools to meet evolving ESG standards.
  • Monitoring regulatory changes and sustainability trends; providing guidance to internal teams.
  • Creating internal and external communication materials showcasing sustainability initiatives and achievements.
  • Identifying opportunities for product circularity and energy efficiency; supporting related projects.
Qualifications for the role
  • Master’s degree in engineering, natural sciences or environmental sciences.
  • At least five years of working experience in the field of sustainability including exposure to ESG reporting.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles (value chain emissions, circularity, product life cycle assessments) with basic knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards, particularly in Europe.
  • Advanced data management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team with proven organizational and project management skills.
  • Proactive with passion for making a positive impact on the environment and contributing to a more sustainable future.
  • Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken).
