A leading railway industry firm in Italy is seeking a motivated Supplier Quality Serial Life Engineer. In this role, you will apply Supplier Quality Assurance policies and manage supplier performance, including inspections and non-conformities. Candidates require a Bachelor's degree in Quality or Engineering, along with fluent English and experience with supplier qualification standards. Overview

For our Savigliano site in Italy we are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Supplier Quality Serial Life Engineer / Professional.

Responsibilities

• Apply and deploy Serial Supplier Quality Assurance policy in collaboration with Procurement.
• Responsible for Non-Conformity Report management and supplier performance for a defined scope of suppliers/projects after product validation, First Article Inspection (FAI) + 3 deliveries.
• Perform inspections for low-critical parts.
• Manage quality performance of assigned suppliers.
• Manage Incoming Inspection activities when appointed SQ inspection leader for the site.
• SQ Serial Performance management.
• Non-Conformities Management: day-to-day management, inform supplier of NCRs, replace defective parts, and implement containment actions.
• Animate Non-Conformities Report treatment with action plans to reach NCR targets; invoice the Cost Of Non-Quality (CONQ S1) to suppliers.
• Manage supplier waiver requests for the assigned scope and suppliers; organize containment actions and retrofit by the supplier when needed.
• Decide if a quality wall is necessary.
• Solving issues & Continuous Improvement: ensure timely and complete supplier containment actions and secure manufacturing line; challenge suppliers to enforce corrective and preventive actions; verify effectiveness and request evidences; perform supplier visits.
• Ensure control plan sustainability with regular follow-up on main suppliers.
• Set up and manage supplier improvement roadmap for non-performing suppliers according to the escalation process (Green / Yellow / Red).
• Organize reviews with suppliers and visit suppliers’ premises as necessary.
• Inspection of low-critical parts: ensure performance of inspections for low-critical parts and verify effectiveness of CAPA; ensure sustainability of control plans.
• For trusted suppliers: participate in Return Of Experience (REX) analyses.
• Top Issues Dashboard: prepare and monitor supplier quality reviews at unit level to tackle top issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiar with supplier qualification standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.).
• Fluent in English.
