Job summary

Aldebaran Group is seeking a Mechanical & Piping Superintendent to lead on-site installation activities for a large energy sector project in Italy. You will supervise mechanical equipment and piping systems, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure progress aligns with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

The role demands at least 10 years in mechanical and piping supervision on major projects, with expertise in oxygen and hydrogen piping.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical and piping supervision on large industrial projects.
• Experience with piping for oxygen and hydrogen as sensitive services.
• Proven subcontractor management and multidisciplinary team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of mechanical equipment and piping systems on site.

• Manage interfaces with other site disciplines and participate in construction progress meetings.
• Ensure all work complies with technical documentation, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Contribute to the implementation and validation of quality plans and ITPs with the QA/QC manager.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in mechanical and piping installation.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to HSE rules.
• Monitor progress, analyze deviations, and provide reports on progress and forecasted costs.
• Review and validate final project documentation.

Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical & Piping Superintendent to join a large-scale industrial project in the energy sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising on-site mechanical and industrial piping installation activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedulre requirements. You will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, monitoring construction progress, and managing supervision teams, with both technical and managerial responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of mechanical equipment and piping systems on site.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors and supervision involved in your discipline.
• Manage interfaces with other site disciplines on site and actively participate in construction progress meetings.
• Ensure that all work complies with technical documentation, applicable standards, and contractual requirements.
• Contribute to the implementation and validation of quality plans and inspection & test plans (ITPs) in coordination with the project QA/QC manager.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to mechanical and piping installation activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure strict compliance with HSE rules by all stakeholders.
• Monitor work progress, analyze deviations, and provide regular reports covering progress, quantities,forecasted costs.
• Review and validate final project documentation.

Your Experience

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical and piping supervision on large industrial projects.
• Strong background in piping for sensitive services (oxygen and hydrogen).
• Demonstrated sucess in subcontractor management and multidisciplinary team coordination.

• Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical assembly and industrial piping installation.
• Leadership, autonomy, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
