A leading engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer in Milan, Italy. The role involves ensuring the technical integrity of offshore structures, providing design specifications, and supporting construction. Candidates should hold a BSc in Structural Engineering and have at least 8 years of experience in the field. This position is on-site and open to EU Nationals or valid Visa holders.

Competenze

• 8 years of experience in structural engineering after earning the BSc degree.
• Valid Visa or Work Permit for EU Nationals.

• Ensure the overall technical integrity of offshore structure designs.
• Provide technical support for construction and installation of offshore structures.

Responsibilities

• Overall technical integrity of offshore structure design premises.
• Design and marine structures behaviour and offshore structure compliance with international standards, company guidelines and engineering best practices.
• Technical support to offshore structure construction and installation.
• Key activities:
• Design premises definition of offshore structures.
• Definition and specification of geotechnical and geophysical surveys.
• Definition and specification of met-oceanographic surveys and / or studies.
• Offshore structures (fixed / floating) layout definition.
• Internal design of offshore structures.
• Subcontracted design of structures supervision.
• Structural material selection and specification.
• ITT preparation and bid technical evaluation.
• Planning, review and follow-up of structure construction, transportation and installation.
• Structures cost and schedule estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Work experience of eight (8) years in the field of the sought discipline after earning the BSc degree.
• EU Nationals or those with a valid Visa / Work Permit.
