Responsibilities
As a Strategy Consultant in IBM's Enterprise Strategy team, you will be a critical partner to the C-Suite and Senior Leadership, driving the creation, visualization, and execution of strategies that foster innovation and business reinvention.
A core component of this role involves establishing robust governance frameworks to ensure strategic alignment, risk mitigation, and successful execution across complex programs.
- Employing hypothesis-driven thinking and strategic analysis to provide actionable insights for C-Suite executives.
- Defining, implementing, and managing strategic governance models across large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Leading the planning and management of strategic projects, leveraging expertise in Agile, Scrum, and/or Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies.
- Crafting digital growth strategies that capitalize on emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Hybrid Cloud) and market trends.
- Developing and implementing tech strategies that leverage next-generation technologies.
- Guiding AI strategy and value creation, ensuring a clear path from strategy definition to successful, governed delivery.
Preferred Education
Master's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic consulting or a comparable role focused on major enterprise transformations.
- Proven expertise in project and program management within contexts utilizing Agile methodologies (e.g., as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Program Manager).
- Solid experience in designing and implementing program and project governance structures (e.g., decision-making models, steering committees, risk/issue management processes).
- Demonstrated ability to partner with C-Suite executives to drive strategic initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Previous experience within IBM or a similar technology-focused consulting firm.
- Experience in Service Design or Customer Experience (CX) projects is highly valued.
- Certifications such as PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe Agilist.
- Knowledge of specific industries or verticals undergoing significant digital transformation.
- Experience with the strategic implications of Generative AI, machine learning, or data science.
