Identis in Italy is seeking a Technical Buyer to manage procurement for mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components. You will review BOMs, specs, and PO process, ensuring timely material availability for production and development projects.

The role requires 3–5 years in technical purchasing, strong negotiation, ERP skills, and English proficiency. Travel to supplier sites may be required, with a focus on cost reduction and supplier base optimization.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs and product specifications.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electronic and electromechanical components.
• Experience in supplier negotiation and supplier management.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Good command of English.

Mansioni

• Manage the purchasing process for mechanical, electronic and electromechanical components, as well as technical materials.
• Review purchase requests, technical drawings, bills of materials and product specifications.
• Identify, select and qualify new suppliers in cooperation with the Technical and Quality departments.
• Request and compare quotations, negotiating prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and quantities.
• Issue and monitor purchase orders through to final delivery.
• Ensure material availability in line with production plans and project requirements.
• Manage delays, non-conformities and supply issues, identifying suitable alternative solutions.
• Work with R&D and Industrialization during the development and introduction of new products.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives, component standardization and supplier-base optimization.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, service and delivery reliability.
• Keep purchasing data, commercial terms and supplier master data updated in the ERP system.
• Support inventory management and the reduction of excess and obsolete stock.
