As our Strategic Buyer, you will take ownership of strategic purchasing decisions, develop category strategies, and ensure efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective procurement. With your analytical mindset and negotiation strength, you keep an eye on global markets, suppliers, and supply chain trends — always striving for continuous improvement and long-term competitiveness.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing and supplier strategies for assigned categories (e.g. belts / ropes, metalworking, raw material purchasing, turning, milling, laser cutting, bending, forging).
  • Analyze and monitor global procurement markets, identify and evaluate suppliers, and drive supplier development in close collaboration with Quality Management and R&D.
  • Conduct price, framework, and delivery negotiations to secure best-in‑class conditions and sustainable partnerships.
  • Perform end‑to‑end supply chain and TCO analyses, optimize goods flows, and minimize supply risks.
  • Actively contribute to product development and redesign projects with a focus on cost efficiency and time‑to‑market.
  • Maintain material master data in the ERP system and prepare KPI‑based analyses and reports to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Identify technological trends in procurement and actively contribute ideas for process optimization and digital transformation.
Your Profile
  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification with a focus on Purchasing or Supply Chain Management.
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in an international industrial environment.
  • Excellent ERP system skills and advanced MS Office proficiency.
  • Experience with Advanced Planning Tools (APT) is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills in both national and international contexts.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Analytical, structured, and proactive working style with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams.
