The University of Trento – Department of Economics and Management invites applications for a six-year research position in Statistics. The appointee will perform research in methodological statistics with computational methods and teach in Italian and/or English across the department’s programs.

English proficiency is required; knowledge of Italian is needed to handle teaching load. The annual gross salary is about €50,000. Work is full-time and based in Trento, Italy.

Competenze

• Required research duties: research activities in methodological statistics, including use of computational methods, for developing and applying statistical methodologies.
• Teaching duties: teaching plan defined by the Department, courses in Italian and/or English across undergrad, master’s, and doctoral programmes.

Mansioni

• Research activities in statistical methodology, including inference and modeling for univariate/multivariate data; development of computational algorithms for high-dimensional data.
• Teaching duties as defined by the department’s teaching plan, including courses in statistics in Italian and/or English.
