Job summary

AMS Advanced Medical Services GmbH in Milan is seeking a Statistician to join our clinical research team. This role focuses on planning and analyzing non-interventional studies and Phase I–IV trials, delivering statistical guidance to clients and teams.

You will write SAPs, coordinate statistical activities, and help prepare proposals for potential clients. Fluency in English and Italian is required; German knowledge is a plus. A Master/Diploma in Statistics or Epidemiology is expected.

Qualifications

• University degree (Master/Diploma) with a solid foundation in Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in applying statistical or epidemiological methods.

Responsibilities

• Planning & Analysis: Manage and analyze non-interventional studies (NIS) and Phase I-IV clinical trials, providing strategic advice to clients.
• Consulting: Support the creation of clinical trial protocols and reports regarding statistical methodology.
• Development: Write and develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs).
• Coordination: Coordinate statistical activities and maintain clear communication within interdisciplinary project teams and with clients.
• Business Development: Contribute to the preparation of proposals and present them to potential clients.

Your Responsibilities:

• Planning & Analysis: Manage and analyze non-interventional studies (NIS) and Phase I-IV clinical trials, providing strategic advice to clients.
• Consulting: Support the creation of clinical trial protocols and reports regarding statistical methodology.
• Development: Write and develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs).

Your Profile:

• Education: University degree (Master/Diploma) with a solid foundation in Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Methodology: Experience in applying statistical or epidemiological methods.
• Software: Proficient in SAS programming.
• Experience: Ideally at least 3 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO.
• Communication: Strong cooperation and communication skills in English and Italian (written and spoken). Proficiency in German is a significant advantage for collaborating with our headquarters.

Preferred (but not mandatory):

• Knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM/ADaM) programming.
• A high degree of self-reliance, structured work style, and flexibility.
