Satispay is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Consumer Wealth Domain, to shape how users grow and manage their savings and investments. You will define the technical strategy and architect complex subsystems powering wealth features across products.

You will lead cross-organizational initiatives, build scalable back-end systems, and mentor future engineering leaders in a FinTech environment, with a hybrid work pattern in Milan and a focus on impact.

• 7+ years in back-end software engineering within product-based companies.

What you'll be doing

As our Staff Software Engineer, Consumer Wealth Domain, you'll play a defining and strategic role in shaping how our users grow and manage their savings and investments. Here's what that looks like in practice:

• Define Technical Strategy – Define the technical strategy for the Consumer Wealth domain, architecting complex subsystems that power savings and investment features with cross-product considerations.

• Advance the Architecture – Design and build scalable, high-quality systems that solve complex financial engineering problems, including managing and simplifying complex back-end systems.

• Technical Thought Leadership – Build cross-organizational relationships to drive technical alignment, represent the technical vision, and stay ahead of emerging technology trends in FinTech and wealth management.

• Develop Talent – Develop the next generation of technical leaders and champion a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement.

• Generate Impact – Play a vital role in helping users grow their wealth through contributions to the Consumer Wealth back-end infrastructure (Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS).

Who we're looking for

This role needs a visionary problem-solver who excels in cross-team collaboration with deep technical expertise.

• Extensive Experience – At least 7 years in back-end software engineering within product-based companies, with a proven track record of architecting, building, and maintaining microservices and complex cloud environments.

• Domain Expertise – Deep experience with Java, a strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS is a plus), and interest in financial products and wealth management systems.

• Strategic Communication – Ability to communicate in a structured and convincing manner, building trust and cross-organizational relationships to achieve technical alignment.

• Thought Leadership – Proven ability to generate intellectual property, lead technical vision, and capitalize on emerging technology trends.

• Passion and Language Skills – Passion for FinTech or startup environments and fluency in English.

Salary: €64,000- €88,000 gross per annum
This range is set using objective, gender-neutral criteria for the role's core requirements. However, we do not believe in putting a ceiling on talent. The final compensation package is tailored according to your unique experience and expertise.
