A leading technology company seeks a Sales Consultant to support the Construction and Engineering Sales team in Italy, focusing on presales technical support. You will deliver presentations, manage customer evaluations, and maintain sales opportunities in the internal system. This role will report to the Sales Consulting Director for Europe. The role’s key objective is to support the Construction and Engineering Sales team to accelerate revenue growth across Europe on Italian and English speaking opportunities, predominantly in Italy. Subject to the approval of the line managers, this role may also support the wider EMEA region on a key account or opportunity basis. The role will involve some travel and requires the successful candidate to have a high level of Construction and Engineering market and related systems experience, particularly the project delivery and collaboration aspects of construction projects.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

In essence;

  • You are the owner of the software solution that is proposed to a client throughout the sales process
  • Discussion with customers to validate customers’ solutioning requirements via meetings, phone calls, webinars and/or emails
  • Demonstration of Oracle's solutions based on clients’ requirements derived from either RFx or detailed requirement analysis either remotely or to in-person groups
  • RFx response from a functional and technical perspective
  • Creation and monitoring of customer evaluations, pilots and proof of concepts
  • Consult on technical and industry questions regarding a defined sales opportunity
  • Maintain account and opportunity updates within our internal Sales Cloud system to manage and prioritise sales opportunities
  • Provide solution support and onboarding as part of wider team enablement of new hires
Key Attributes
  • Experience in the Construction and Engineering or Construction and Engineering Tech industry, focused on:
  • Project Management – Planning, risk, resourcing
  • Design and Construction Collaboration – Documents, BIM, QA/Field
  • Knowledge of Cost and Change Management
  • Pre‑sales/Solution Engineering, Consulting or other forms of sales support in a Con‑tech company is highly desirable
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills
  • A growth mindset
  • Experience with commercial and project collaboration software such as Aconex, Asite, PlanView, Viewpoint, Think Project, Primavera, Asta, MSP, Ecosys, Deltek, Causeway, Coins, SAP, Fusion, E‑Business Suite
  • Italian and English languages necessary.
