Dexcom is seeking a technical consultant based in Italy (Milan) to support FHIR API interoperability development and integrations. You will work with the Interoperability Solutions Team to gather requirements, design solutions, and coordinate with EHR systems across Italy, with travel as needed.

You will leverage your experience with FHIR APIs, JAVA, JSON, XML, or Python, and HL7 involvement to deliver high-quality integrations in a healthcare setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
• 2 years of experience with FHIR APIs.
• Working knowledge of JAVA, JSON, XML, or Python.
• Active member of HL7 International or HL7 Italia.
• FHIR certification from HL7 or equivalent preferred.

• Gather and evaluate external customer requirements for FHIR API interoperability solutions in Italy.
• Advise on design and implementation of solutions integrating with external applications using FHIR APIs with digital health platforms and health systems in Italy.
• Evaluate EHR and external healthcare information systems to determine interoperability requirements and identify FHIR-based solutions meeting customer needs.
• Interacts with IT teams of external customers from initial engagement through implementation in Italy (travel within Italy required).

• Prepare documentation for customer integration releases, such as release notes, sandbox environments, and user guides.

Interoperability Solutions delivers industry-leading data connectivity with external EHR systems, healthcare organizations, and data partners, leveraging the latest API standards. We enable efficient and scalable data exchange and ensure compliance with the latest health industry API standards, such as the Fast Healthcare interoperability Resources (FHIR).This technical consultant role will be directly supporting the FHIR API interoperability development and integrations in Italy and report to the Director of Interoperability Solutions Team based in the U.S. This role is based in Italy, in Milan.Where you come in:• Gathers and evaluates external customer requirements for FHIR API interoperability solutions in Italy• Advises on the design and implementation of solutions integrating with external applications using FHIR APIs with digital health platforms and health systems in Italy• Evaluates EHR and external healthcare information systems to determine interoperability requirements and identifies and helps design FHIR-based solutions that will meet customer’s needs within specified timeframes• Interacts with IT teams of the external customers from initial engagement through implementation by attending customer meetings, technical calls, testing and integration sessions in person and online within Italy (travel within Italy is required).• Assists with testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of FHIR API solutions to identify and resolve issues with external stakeholders• Interfaces with software engineering teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products• Prepares necessary documentation for customer integration solution releases, such as release notes, sandbox environments, and user guides.• Provides daily updates and interacts with the Interoperability Solutions TeamWhat makes you successful:• Real-world technical experience with FHIR APIs and knowledge of FHIR standards and documentation• Proven track record of delivering FHIR applications in healthcare environment in Italy• Passion for collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and creating high-quality products• Experience troubleshooting interoperability issues• Speaks fluent Italian and EnglishMinimum Education and Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar• 2 years of experience with FHIR APIs• Working knowledge of JAVA, JSON, XML, or Python• Active member of HL7 International or HL7 Italia• Fluent in Italian and EnglishPreferred Education and Experience• Minimum requirements plus• FHIR certification from HL7 or equivalent (FHIR R4 Proficiency, FHIR Foundational Implementer, or similar)What you’ll get:• A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
