Databricks, Milan region, is seeking a technically skilled engineer to drive value for Italian customers using our Data & Intelligence Platform. You will build relationships with clients, demonstrate architecture and implementation capabilities, and collaborate with Account Executives to advance adoption.

You will develop reference architectures, lead workshops, and contribute to a growing Databricks community in the region, while expanding your expertise to become a technical or industry

The impact you will have:

• Form successful relationships with clients throughout Italy, providing technical and business value to Databricks customers in collaboration with Account Executives.
• Operate as an expert in big data analytics to excite customers about Databricks. You will develop into a 'champion' and trusted advisor on multiple issues of architecture, design, and implementation to lead to the successful adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Scale best practices in your field and support customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications, and help build the Databricks community in your region by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
• Grow your knowledge and expertise to the level of a technical and/or industry specialist.

What we look for:

• Engage customers in technical sales, challenge their questions, guide clear outcomes, and communicate technical and value propositions.
• Develop customer relationships and build internal partnerships with account executives and teams.
• Prior experience with coding in a core programming language (i.e., Python, Java, Scala) and willingness to learn a base level of Spark.
• Proficient with Big Data Analytics technologies, including hands‑on expertise with complex proofs‑of‑concept and public cloud platform(s).
• Experienced in use case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solution architecture designs to multiple audiences requiring an ability to context switch in levels of technical depth.

Mandatory requirements:

• The location for the role should be in the Milan region (i.e. within a commutable distance for a hybrid schedule).
• Flexibility to travel (up to 30% as required for customer meetings, events and trainings).
• Business proficiency in both Italian and English required.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits which can be accessed here.

Italy Pay Range

€112.700 — €155.000 EUR
