Our client, an Italian technology consulting and system integration company, is seeking a Senior Networking Specialist to design, secure, and manage complex IT/OT infrastructures across WiFi, LAN, and WAN environments.

You will work with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE, and Siemens SCALANCE equipment, implement network segmentation and QoS, and lead Tier-3 incident RCA activities while supporting international customers.

Competenze

• Experience with routing and switching, IP subnetting, VLANs, QoS, and enterprise network design.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge, IT/OT separation, and firewall administration.
• Hands-on with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE, or Siemens SCALANCE devices.
• Knowledge of AD, DNS, and DHCP as core network services.
• Proficient English for technical docs and international customers.
• Willingness to travel for short-term on-site work.

For our client, an Italian technology consulting and system integration company specialized in IT and OT infrastructures, cybersecurity, managed services, industrial technologies, and software solutions, we are looking for a:

Senior Networking Specialist

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Network Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, secure, and support complex networking environments, including WiFi, LAN, and WAN infrastructures. Oversee switch convergence processes, define routing strategies, and develop advanced network segmentation and traffic distribution solutions to ensure performance and reliability.


• Operational Technology (OT) Networks: Architect, deploy, secure, and maintain industrial communication networks dedicated to automation systems, utilizing Siemens SCALANCE solutions and standard industrial protocols such as Profinet, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP.


• Advanced Incident Resolution: Manage and resolve high-priority Tier-3 incidents and technical issues. Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and define both corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurring problems.

REQUIREMENTS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Networking Expertise: Demonstrated experience with routing and switching technologies, IP subnetting, VLAN implementation, Quality of Service (QoS) configuration, and enterprise-grade network infrastructure design.


• Security & Network Protocols: Strong knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack, IT/OT network separation principles, and the administration and configuration of enterprise firewall platforms.


• Vendor Technologies: Hands-on experience with the deployment and management of networking solutions from leading vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, HPE, and Siemens SCALANCE industrial devices, or equivalent technologies.


• Network Core Services: Solid understanding of essential network services, including Active Directory (AD), DNS, and DHCP.


• English Proficiency: Good command of the English language (recommended at least level B2) for technical documentation, communication, and collaboration with international customers.


• Travel Availability: Availability to travel for short-term assignments and on-site activities at customer locations when required.
