The Exploration Company is seeking a Thermal Analysis Engineer to lead thermal modeling and simulations for Nyx, a modular spacecraft. You will collaborate with mechanical, CAD, avionics and mechanism engineers to optimize the vehicle's thermal architecture and performance.

The role requires an advanced degree with at least 4 years of thermal analysis experience, strong knowledge of active and passive thermal control, and proficiency in Python or Matlab. Fluency in English is essential.

Competenze

• Advanced degree (Master of Science or PhD) in aerospace engineering, heat transfer and fluid mechanics, or another related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in thermal analysis.
• Good knowledge of thermal management for both active and passive thermal control systems.
• Deep knowledge of thermal and fluid analysis.
• Experience with several thermal software (Thermal Desktop, ESATAN, Systema).
• Experience with programming (Python, Matlab...).
• Experience with CFD analysis is a plus.
• Fluent in English. German, French and Italian are an asset.

Mansioni

• To generate the thermal and fluids models, with the right level of complexity depending on the maturity and the goals of the study.
• To determine the thermal load cases through the entire system lifecycle.
• To provide technical solutions on optimizing the design and the spacecraft thermal management, in collaboration with other subsystems.
• To contribute to co-engineering sessions with various teams and suppliers to ensure the technical consistency and design optimization.
• To support the test campaign preparation: test plan definition, exploitation for simulation comparison and correlation.
• To contribute to the creation and improvement of the thermal analysis tools ,
• To contribute to the validation and verification of the requirements,
• To effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analyses, preparation, and presentation of technical data,
• To prepare the technical documentation and participate to design reviews.
