Strativ Group is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for its Trieste, Italy team. You will design, develop, and validate real-time embedded software running on onboard computers for space missions, collaborating across hardware and software domains.

This role involves full lifecycle work, from requirements and architecture to integration and verification, with emphasis on interfacing with flight hardware, debugging, and documentation. Hybrid work options are available with growth opportunities.

Competenze

• 2+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience designing real-time software architectures.
• Hands-on with RTOS (RTEMS/FreeRTOS) or embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, CAN and UART protocols.
• Experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication of complex technical concepts.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or safety-critical industries is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of assembly.
• Exposure to tooling, automation, and AI-assisted development.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software for spacecraft onboard systems.
• Cover full software lifecycle from requirements, architecture, implementation, integration, and verification.
• Interface directly with flight hardware, supporting debugging and system integration.
• Develop and maintain reusable software components and shared libraries.
• Support AIV activities, including HIL/SIL testing.
• Produce and review technical documentation aligned with industry standards.
• Collaborate with system, hardware, and external partners to define software specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
