A leading tech company is seeking a Solutions Architect II to act as a technical liaison and architect cloud solutions for customers. This role involves guiding customers on AWS best practices, engaging with various stakeholders, and authoring customer-facing publications. Required qualifications include a Master's degree or equivalent in a related field plus relevant experience in cloud architecture. Competitive salary offered ranging from $160,897 to $177,600 annually.
Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support. Analyze application portfolios, identify dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and assess migration feasibility.
Architect hybrid AWS and on‑premises solutions. Guide customers on architecture choices and inform them of the best practices to adopt AWS efficiently and cost‑effectively. Ensure success in building, migrating, and deploying applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
Brief senior executive team on customer progress of adopting AWS and define future platform requirements for onboarding and migration to AWS. Author AWS customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers. Share best‑practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.
Engage with developers, system administrators, software architects, project managers, directors, and C‑level customers to define cloud strategies and deployments. Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and ensure that solutions are designed for successful deployment on AWS.
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field AND at least one year of experience in the offered job, or in a related occupation such as Database Administrator or Support Engineer.
Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields plus five years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation is acceptable.
Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications; (2) architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on‑premises virtualised environments using object‑oriented programming languages such as C++, Perl, Python, Java, Ruby, Node.js, or equivalent; and (3) experience with database architecture, performance tuning, big data processing, mobile app development, or Big Data / Hadoop.
Domestic and/or international travel up to 25% may be required.
40 hours / week, 8:00am–5:00pm. Salary Range $160,897 / year to $177,600 / year.
