Software Test Engineer (m/f/d) – Rohde & Schwarz Australia

Location: Rome (Italy)

Employment Type: Full‑time, unlimited

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents together with Product Managers and Developers to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well‑structured test plans and test cases
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well‑structured technical guidelines
• Execute test procedures and analyse results
• Detect, document and track software and/or hardware issues
• Verify bug fixes
• Plan and perform drive tests

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related subject
• Technical background and general understanding of the telecom industry
• Basic knowledge of mobile network technologies (GSM, WCDMA, CDMA, LTE, NR)
• Basic knowledge of computer network technologies (TCP/IP, NDIS, Routing)
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Android operating systems
• Basic knowledge of automation frameworks and programming languages (C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python or similar)
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Management Studio is highly appreciated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German is an advantage
• Precise and attentive to details
• Flexible, independent and self‑motivated
• Able to work in a collaborative, global environment
• ISTQB® certifications are highly appreciated
• Driving license
