Una società leader nel settore elettronico cerca un Software Engineer Motion a Fiorano Modenese. Il candidato sarà responsabile dello sviluppo di sistemi di controllo motion e lavorerà a stretto contatto con diversi stakeholder. Sono richiesti almeno 5 anni di esperienza nel settore industriale e una laurea in ingegneria elettronica o meccatronica. È necessaria una solida conoscenza della programmazione in C/C++ e delle capacità di lettura di schemi elettrici.

Competenze

  • 5 anni di esperienza in un ruolo simile nel settore industriale.
  • Conoscenza dei sistemi di motion control e servo drives.
  • Capacità di usare strumenti di sviluppo su sistemi operativi in tempo reale (RTOS).

Mansioni

  • Gestire il ciclo di vita del prodotto.
  • Definire i requisiti hardware e firmware per nuovi sviluppi.
  • Scrivere e ottimizzare firmware embedded in linguaggio C.

About the Role

The Software Engineer Motion will be responsible for developing motion control systems, with a particular focus on the integration of hardware, firmware, and control algorithms. They will also be involved in requirements management and collaboration with both internal (quality, purchasing, production) and external (suppliers and customers) stakeholders.

They will be part of a team where creativity, curiosity, and problem‑solving skills are essential to develop new control solutions that meet customer needs.

Main responsibilities will include :
  • Supporting the management of the product line life cycle;
  • Defining the hardware and firmware requirements for new developments;
  • Writing and optimizing embedded firmware using the C programming languages;
  • Applying the functional safety principles to design mechatronics systems compliant with safety standards;
  • Ensuring the application of quality assurance principles during the entire product life cycle;
  • Actively participating in the innovation process and continuous improvement of products.

The position is based in Fiorano Modenese (MO), Italy.

What You Need to Be Successful
  • Degree in Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering or related fields;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the industrial sector;
  • Experience with motion control systems and servo drives;
  • Strong ability to read electrical schematics;
  • Excellent knowledge of C / C++ programming;
  • Proficiency in standard hardware and software debugging tools;
  • Experience in development on real‑time operating systems (RTOS);
  • Knowledge of Canbus or other industrial Fieldbus networks;
  • Familiarity with Matlab / Simulink environments for modeling and code generation would be considered a plus;
  • Teamwork orientation, strong problem‑solving abilities, critical thinking, active listening, proactivity;
  • Good understanding of the English language, both written and oral;
  • Availability to travel occasionally.
