Bitrock cerca un Software Engineer Freelance per prendere piena responsabilità sui servizi backend in un team startup‑style ad alta autonomia.Responsabilità: analizzare e riscrivere componenti legati a un platform AWS, con uso intensivo di Claude Code e agenti AI per accelerare sviluppo e testing.

Il candidato ideale ha esperienza con Java/Spring Boot, architetture SOA e REST API, ed è in grado di lavorare su sistemi poco documentati. Contratto freelance di 1 anno con inizio ASAP.

• Seniorità mid-to-senior: riferimento tecnico verso l’vendor estero
• Esperienza solida con Java e Spring/Spring Boot
• Fondamenta in servizi orientati all’architettura, REST API e gestione database
• Capacità di lavorare su sistemi poco documentati o legacy (reverse engineering)
• Autonomia e mindset startup
• Esperienza o forte interesse nello sviluppo con IA (Claude Code, AI agents)
• Inglese B1/B2

Mansioni

• Analisi e takeover dei backend esistenti su AWS senza accesso completo al codice sorgente
• Progressiva riscrittura e sviluppo di componenti backend mancanti o legacy
• Progettazione e implementazione di RESTful API, architettura a microservizi e integrazioni con database
• Reverse engineering e ricostruzione del comportamento del sistema a partire da log, configurazioni e interazioni reali
• Interfaccia tecnica con il vendor estero durante la fase di handoff

Who we are looking for

We're looking for a Software Engineer Freelance to take full ownership of backend services within a startup-style, high-autonomy team. You will be responsible for analyzing, taking over, and progressively rewriting components of an existing AWS platform today managed by an overseas vendor. The team will make intensive use of Claude Code (license covered by the client) and dedicated AI agents (PM, Analyst, Dev, Tester, DevOps) to amplify impact and speed up development.

What You'll Do

• Analysis and takeover of existing backend services on AWS without complete access to source code
• Progressive rewriting and development of missing or legacy backend components
• Design and implementation of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database integrations
• Reverse engineering and reconstructing system behavior starting from logs, configurations, and real service interactions
• Technical liaison with the current overseas vendor during the handoff phase
• Active usage of AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, AI agents) to streamline coding, debugging, and testing workflows

Requirements

• Mid-to-senior seniority: you'll act as a primary technical reference point toward the overseas vendor
• Solid, hands-on experience with Java and Spring / Spring Boot ecosystem
• Strong foundation in service-oriented architectures, REST APIs, and database management
• Proven ability to work on poorly documented systems or legacy codebases (reverse engineering experience is a strong plus)
• Autonomy, pragmatism, ownership: a startup mindset, no need for close supervision
• Experience with, or strong interest in, AI-assisted development (Claude Code, AI agents)
• English B1/B2
