About the role

We are looking fora Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of the core back-end systems that power the automated optimization of modern applications.

You’ll work on a highly innovative platform that uses AI to automate observability, testing, and tuning of software stacks.

You’ll collaborate with a talented and experienced engineering team to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs.

This role is a great opportunity to grow your skills in software development, DevOps practices, and performance engineering, while working closely with Product Managers and end users.

We believe that reducing the gap between developers and users leads to better understanding and better solutions - so your ideas and contributions will matter from day one.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Contribute to the development of our product by writing code that is easy to test, ship, and maintain.
• Participate in code reviews to share and establish coding practices.
• Participate in team rituals such as daily stand-ups, planning, demos, and retrospectives.
• Work with product and engineering teams to refine feature requirements and design.
• Support testing and deployment of features using modern CI/CD tools.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate design choices and evolutions with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.

What we're looking for

• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience in backend or full-stack development (internships included)
• Passion for building impactful applications at scale, applying state of the art code practices and tools.
• Experience with Java programming.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
• Interest in working with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn about cloud technologies, performance engineering, and DevOpspractices.

Nice to have (but not required)

• Experience with Spring framework and non-relational databases such as Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Python programming language.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation tools.
• Interest in performance tuning and/or machine learning concepts.
