Hitachi Rail is seeking a Software Engineer in Genoa to contribute to railway applications. You will define requirements, design and implement software components, verify and test deliverables, and support releases in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, strong knowledge of JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Java, Rust, and Linux, and a degree in Engineering or Computer Science. English proficiency is required.

• Engineering or CS degree (Master's or Bachelor's).
• 3–5 years software development experience.

• Experience with Linux and DevOps practices.
• Good command of English (written & spoken).

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks. The developments cover the railways applications. The position is based in Genoa, IT.

Responsabilities

• Detailed requirements definition for software components / systems
• Design and implementation of software components
• Verification and testing of developed software
• Release and support of delivered software components

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Knowledge of software development methodologies (agile methodologies, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, DevOps, …)
• Object Oriented Design and Programming
• Knowledge of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Java, RUST
• Knowledge of Linux operating system
• From 3 up to 5 years of experience

Desired Skills/ Knowledge

• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, Oracle, Redis, MongoDB)
• Knowledge of containeirization technologies, specifically Docker
• Knowledge of Railway Traffic Management domain
• Ability to work in a team environment

Education/Qualifications

• Master’s degree / bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science)

Languages

• Good Knowledge of English (written & spoken)

Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B2, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale. Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 35.000€ e 46.200€.
