The candidate will leverage existing frameworks to enhance test automation for Alexa devices and will be responsible for building reliable test infrastructures. The ideal applicant has over 3 years of experience in test automation frameworks and a strong background in Python.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to help automate next generation platforms leveraging AI tools. In this role you will work with system architects, software developers, program managers, QA engineers and hardware engineers to implement test automation, tool/dashboard and infrastructure development for Alexa devices.

Key job responsibilities

• Leverage existing automation frameworks and tools to build libraries to automate the tests in Alexa devices.
• Enhance existing framework with AI capabilities to improve the automation development, stabilisation and utilisation.

As a SDET champion on this team, you will own the vision for test infrastructures, build frameworks that allow developers/SQA to easily write reliable tests, and invent new mechanisms for ensuring that every change we make can be deployed safely and quickly. You will help solve our most difficult challenges, and you will coach other engineers to foster a culture of relentless high-standards.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
• Experience designing or supporting low-maintenance automation frameworks
• Experience with AI/ML technologies
• Python based test automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
• Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services
