We are actively hiring a talented Software Engineer in the Query Processing team. Query processing is at the heart of Analytics data plane and is responsible for the massive parallel execution engine.
Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations – from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that set AWS services apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IOT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions.
Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer, you will build systems that benefit Analytics customers worldwide. You’ll take significant ownership on the overall product vision by defining new features and architecture, distill complex requirements into meaningful projects, own end‑to‑end deliverables from design through operations, and lead engineers on substantial projects while mentoring and hiring.

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation such as equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits may be offered as part of the total compensation package.
