Amazon in Asti, Italy is seeking an entry-level Software Development Engineer (SDE‑I) to contribute to cloud-native, scalable systems. You will own code lifecycles from design to deployment, participate in code reviews, and work within an agile CI/CD environment to deliver high-quality solutions across distributed services.

The role emphasizes ownership, learning, and mentorship, with opportunities to apply GenAI tools and modern architectures to impact millions of customers globally.

Competenze

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields
  • Completed Bachelor's or Graduate degree in specified fields
  • Expected graduation between October 2025 - September 2026, OR graduated within the last 24 months
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
  • Demonstrated experience one or more of the following: Data structures implementation, Basic algorithm development, Object-oriented design principles

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields
  • Completed Bachelor's or Graduate degree in specified fields
  • Expected graduation between October 2025 - September 2026, OR graduated within the last 24 months
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
  • Demonstrated experience one or more of the following: Data structures implementation, Basic algorithm development, Object-oriented design principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: AI tools for development productivity, Cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Database systems (SQL and NoSQL), Contributing to open-source projects, Version control systems, Debugging and troubleshooting complex systems
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full‑time basis. For part‑time hours, the salary will be pro‑rated.

Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.

Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.

In addition to statutory benefits, and those applicable to the relevant CBA, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
