Black & White Engineering is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of data centre and mission-critical projects across Italy and Europe, bridging design and construction. You will conduct site inspections, witness activities, review installations, and report to ensure compliance with standards and project objectives, with travel across sites.

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience supervising, inspecting, testing, commissioning and handing over MEP systems.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs and contract docs.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering project teams.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services installations and quality standards.
• Know-how with MS Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, document control platforms and site management software.
• Familiarity with Italian engineering standards, regulations, and construction practices.
• Experience liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Membership or progression towards professional institutions (CIBSE, IET, InstMC, IHEEM).
• Proficient Italian language for technical terminology, and valid driving licence with travel willingness across Italy and Europe.
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

Are you an experienced Site Engineer seeking a new opportunity?
We have an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of some of the most advanced data centre and mission-critical projects across Italy and Europe. Working at the interface between design and construction, you'll help ensure complex MEP installations are delivered in line with approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, and project objectives.
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, from construction and installation through to testing, commissioning, and handover. You'll undertake site inspections, witness key engineering activities, review installations against project requirements, and provide detailed reporting to support successful project delivery.

Essential Skills

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineering, or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience of site supervision, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering project teams.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services installations and quality standards.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, document control platforms such as Aconex or Asite, and site management software.
• Working knowledge of Italian engineering standards, regulations, and construction practices.
• Experience working directly with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Membership, or working towards membership, of a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE, IET, InstMC or IHEEM.
• Working Italian language skills, including technical and construction terminology.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites across Italy and Europe.
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience would be advantageous.
