Overview

This strategic role is central to managing and optimizing the short-term power supply portfolio, with a focus on the Italian electricity market. The ideal candidate is a proactive and analytical professional ready to contribute to the energy transition through innovative, data-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities
  • Execute trading activities on the Day-Ahead and Intraday power markets, with a specific focus on Italy.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated trading algorithms for physical power assets.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of market drivers to identify trading opportunities and manage risks.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and data science teams on forecasting and short-term trading models.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of all implemented models, trading logics, and operational processes.
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in day-ahead and intraday power trading.
  • Solid understanding of European power markets, with a strong focus on the Italian market and dispatching dynamics.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured mindset, and a results-driven approach.
  • Proficient in Excel, VBA, Python (preferred) and/or Matlab, and SQL.
  • Fluent in both Italian and English (spoken and written).
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning and development.
