Hitachi Rail STS is seeking a self-motivated Senior Test & Validation Engineer to join our Naples team. The role combines office work with on-board testing of Metro, Tram and Train systems in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will define test procedures and plans, manage validation activities, and interface with Design Engineering, RAMS and Safety teams to ensure timely delivery of validation reports and vehicles meeting customer requirements and schedules.

Formación

• Experience in railway industries and/or testing activities.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and measurement systems.
• Eager to work in an international environment.
• Skills in Microsoft Windows operating system and Pack Office.
• Knowledge of Cycle V models (V-Model).
• Availability to travel worldwide and work night shifts.
• Effective collaboration across functions and strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Define Routine and Type Test Procedures, Test Plans, and Test programs; manage validation activities on vehicles per standards.
• Interface with Design Engineering, manufacturing, RAMS and Safety teams.
• Deliver Validation reports.
• Ensure vehicles meet Customer requirements and project schedules.

Hitachi Rail STS is looking for a self-motivated Senior Test & Validation Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from technical to management. The position is based in Naples Italy. The job is combination of office work and tests execution on board (Metro, Tram and Train).

Accountabilities

• Guarantee the definition of Routine and Type Test Procedures, Test Plan and Test program and the implementation and the management of validation activities on the vehicles according to:

Engineering, Homologation, and to Company processes, guidelines and international standards.

• Ensure Interface with Design Engineering project team, manufacturing, RAMS and Safety team.
• Ensure the delivery of the Validation report.
• Ensure delivery of vehicles in compliance with Customer requirements, in accordance with project schedule.

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Experience in Railway industries and / or testing activities is required.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and measurement system is preferred.
• Eager to work in an international environment.
• Skills in Microsoft Windows operating system and Pack Office.
• Knowledge of Cycle V models.
• Availability to travel worldwide and work in night shifts.
• Effective collaboration in networks across businesses and functions

Education

Degree in Electrical / Automation / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Technical Background.

Languages

Fluent in English.

Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra € 36.000 e € 47.000 annui lordi
