NTT DATA Europe & Latam in Emilia-Romagna seeks an experienced Test Engineer Automation to lead testing for payment solutions. You will analyze documentation, design test cases, and drive automated testing using modern frameworks.

You will mentor offshore testers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure quality through manual and automated testing, UAT facilitation, and test strategy development.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Informatics or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a Test Engineer Automation role.
• Strong testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with Playwright for automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript; Python for automation.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, and TestRail.
• Hands-on manual testing and translating requirements into test cases.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Experience organizing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Nice to have ISTQB/CSTE certifications; Azure DevOps knowledge.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Engineer Automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the testing process, ensuring the quality and reliability of our payment solutions. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement effective testing strategies that align with our business goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Analyze product documentation, including Use Cases, User Stories, and UML Diagrams, to develop detailed test cases.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test suites to ensure thorough coverage of all functionalities.
• Execute manual testing to validate the functionality and performance of applications.
• Implement and execute automated testing solutions using Playwright and Cypress to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Organize and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, ensuring stakeholder involvement and feedback.
• Develop and maintain a robust test strategy that aligns with project objectives and timelines.
• Provide guidance and instruction to offshore testers, ensuring consistency and quality in testing practices.
• Collaborate and align with the TOP Overall Test Lead to ensure cohesive testing efforts across the organization.

What You’ll Bring Along

• Bachelor’s degree in Informatics or similar field of study, or equivalent working experience is required.
• At least 5 years demonstrable experience in a Test Engineer Automation role.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks, particularly Playwright.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Python for test automation purposes.
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Xray TestRail).
• Hands‑on experience in manual testing and the ability to translate complex requirements into executable test cases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in organizing and conducting User Acceptance Testing.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps for test management and tracking is a plus.
• Ability to mentor and guide team members, particularly offshore testers.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
