WAVENURE is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to own the IT infrastructure in Milan, guiding the physical and virtual estate, architecture, strategy, design and implementation.

The ideal candidate will solve problems autonomously, communicate clearly, and work well under pressure with teams. This role requires 24x7 operations, disaster recovery, security, and ongoing upgrades across servers, databases and networking. Experience with Apache, MySQL, Linux, virtualization and AWS is preferred.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application server administration.
• Experience in Operations and System Management (Linux, Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS/RedHat).
• Installation and monitoring of Apache, PHP, Java/Tomcat, MySQL/MariaDB/MongoDB.
• Monitoring and maintenance of multiple DBMS (MySQL, Postgres, MariaDB, MongoDB).
• Strong WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, HTTPS, DNS knowledge.
• VPN, IP networks and routing protocols understanding.
• Experience with SSL certificates installation/management.
• Knowledge of clustering, load balancing and virtualization.
• Experience with monitoring tools and CVS/Git.
• Good knowledge of AWS and basic network security.
• Fluent English speaking and writing.
