TeamSystem is Italy’s leading Tech & AI company and a European leader in digital solutions for businesses. We are seeking an experienced backend professional to translate requirements into scalable code, design microservices, and drive architectural excellence in an Azure cloud environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to payments integration while maintaining high quality, performance and security across services.

In a fast-paced development environment focused on growth and innovation, you will be responsible for translating requirements into code to create, improve and maintain high-quality software.

Take ownership of critical backend systems and services (Java Spring or C# .NET), ensuring high quality, performance, reliability, and continuous improvement through best practices in testing, documentation, and deployment; Design and implement microservices architectures, making thoughtful decisions about scalability, patterns, technology trade-offs, and Azure cloud deployments to optimize performance, cost, and operational efficiency; Partner with the Product Owner and cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA, product, design, architects) to translate business requirements into technical solutions and align technical and business goals; Lead technical design discussions and code reviews, raising the bar for code quality, engineering discipline, and architectural excellence; Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth; Integrate with payment systems and third‑party APIs, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability across all integration points; Stay ahead of emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the platform.

What skills are we looking for? At least 6 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software systems; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Deep expertise in Java (Spring Boot) or C# (.NET Core / .NET 6+), with a strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles; Experience designing and implementing microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems, combined with a solid foundation in database design, data modeling, and query optimization; Experience with Docker and containerization technologies, familiarity with Kubernetes, and strong engineering practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews; Ability to work independently on complex problems and contribute to technical and architectural decisions; Familiarity with AI/ML tools and AI-assisted software development practices; Advanced proficiency in English (C1 level); Hands‑on experience with Azure and cloud‑native development, messaging technologies such as Kafka or Service Bus, a background in payments, fintech, or credit services, leadership responsibilities in technical teams, and familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) will be considered a plus.

Total compensation: € 39.000 – € 53.000 Including a variable component linked to performance. Full-time reference.
