STMicroelectronics in Italy is seeking a Senior Security Architect to lead hardware and software security for next-generation microcontroller products across automotive, industrial, robotics, and general applications.

The role requires deep expertise in security architectures and hands-on work with standards (ISO21434, ISO62443, SESIP). You will collaborate across hardware and software teams to implement robust security features and documentation, supporting audits and PSIRT as needed.

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• Experience in security architectures for microcontrollers, SoCs, or embedded systems.
• Knowledge of security mechanisms and cryptographic operations.
• Hands-on experience with security standards such as ISO21434, ISO62443-4-x and SESIP.
• Experience in threat analysis.
• Understanding of microcontroller architecture concepts (CPU/memory protection, access control).
• Ability to translate system-level security requirements into actionable architectural requirements.
• Strong documentation and communication skills across hardware and software disciplines.

Mansioni

• Define security concepts and architectures for microcontroller products.
• Perform threat analysis and risk assessments (e.g. TARA) to define features and countermeasures.
• Derive HW/SW security requirements from goals and use cases.
• Identify security features for protection of assets and functionalities.
• Ensure coherence of security solutions across the product base.
• Develop and maintain security documentation.
• Collaborate with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to implement security requirements.
• Review architecture against standards and customer requirements.
• Support security claims in audits and PSIRT activities.
• Contribute to the roadmap for reusable security IP and guidelines.
