MetaSensing in Italy seeks an experienced Senior Radar Payload System Engineer to lead the system engineering for SAR payloads on Earth observation and space missions.

You will coordinate requirements, architecture and interfaces, and you will prepare technical documentation while ensuring ECSS compliance across multidisciplinary teams. The role involves collaboration with customers and partners and occasional travel.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Space Engineering or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of professional experience in Space Systems Engineering and Radar Payload development.
• Experience with ECSS standards and space system lifecycles.
• Excellent communication and ability to interface with customers and partners.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel.

Mansioni

• Coordinate system engineering activities for assigned radar payload development projects.
• Define, analysing and maintaining system requirements, architecture and technical budgets.
• Coordinate payload-to-platform interfaces with spacecraft manufacturers and external partners.
• Ensure technical consistency across multidisciplinary engineering teams (RF, electronics, mechanics, thermal, software, AIT and operations).
• Prepare, maintain and reviewing technical documentation in compliance with ECSS requirements.
• Prepare project technical milestones and associated documentation.
• Support integration, verification, validation, commissioning and operational readiness activities.
