About You And This Role

For our Packaging & Specialty Plastics business we are looking for a Senior Sales Specialist based in our commercial office in Milan, Italy. In this role you will be responsible for growing and nurturing existing customer relationships by selling new and existing products, as well as generating new customers. You will handle a medium‑sized customer portfolio, developing and executing sales plans, generating leads, and leveraging your industry & product knowledge to drive business success.

Responsibilities
  • Sell a broad product portfolio to existing and new customers in the region.
  • Understand customer needs to differentiate Dow and gain share market.
  • Build strong customer relationships and expand network to different levels within our customer’s organization.
  • Conduct negotiations and develop and implement price strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Explore new product development opportunities to strengthen our customer pipeline. Engage in Lead & Opportunity Management.
  • Participate in Sales, Product/Marketing strategy calls.
  • Develop sales plans aligned to the marketing plan, considering market intelligence, and in coordination with other functions. Execute the sales plan, delivering in volume and value.
  • Guide customers regarding options within the defined Service Offering Framework.
  • Collaborate with other functions and stakeholders to deliver a strong customer experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, engineering, technical studies or economics. A Master’s degree is of advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales in the Chemical sector.
Your Skills
  • Experience in negotiation and sales tactics.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in both Italian and English.
  • Proactive hunter with owner’s mindset, self-driven and efficient.
  • Technologically savvy & data driven, with a strong willingness to learn digital systems such as CRM and SmartPrice; experienced user of Microsoft Office incl CoPilot.
Additional Notes
  • The role involves spending approximately 50% of the time traveling and meeting with clients.
