UNSW Sydney invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow (Level C or D) to lead epidemiological and clinical research within the Viral Hepatitis Clinical Research Program. The role involves designing and delivering studies, contributing to grant funding, and translating research into policy and practice.

Level C focuses on independent contributions and mentoring, while Level D adds international leadership and multi-institutional collaborations.

Competenze

• PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, infectious diseases, drug user health, or a closely related discipline, and equivalent research experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in the design, conduct and analysis of epidemiological studies and/or clinical trials in infectious diseases, viral hepatitis, public health or drug user health.
• Strong track record of high-quality research outputs, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and evidence of growing national research recognition.
• Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis and management of complex clinical, epidemiological and/or linked administrative health datasets using software packages such as R, Stata, SAS or Python.
• Demonstrated success, relative to opportunity, in obtaining competitive research funding and/or contributing to successful grant applications.
• Demonstrated capacity to independently lead research projects and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary research teams and external stakeholder networks.
• Experience working with health services, government agencies, community organisations and/or priority populations relevant to viral hepatitis and drug user health.
• Experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services, correctional health and/or community-led research approaches will be viewed favorably.
