Descrizione del lavoro

As a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer at eero, you will work with the rest of the Hardware Engineering team and cross‑functional team to design, implement, debug, and characterize embedded systems for wireless networking applications. This role will focus on development, validation, troubleshooting, and factory build support for the RF hardware sub‑systems that enable eero products to support wireless technologies such as wifi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Thread. These wireless interfaces are critical features of all eero products, so customer experience is highly sensitive to the performance and reliability of the underlying RF sub‑systems.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Perform link budget analysis, select appropriate RF ICs and passive components, review and optimize PCB schematics and layouts
  • Validate RF performance and troubleshoot RF issues from the sub‑component to the system level
  • Collaborate with verification and validation engineers to create test plans that thoroughly validate designs and efficiently address system integration challenges
  • Work cross‑functionally with other engineers to meet challenging form factor and industrial design requirements while preventing unintentional radiators from negatively impacting RF receiver sensitivity
  • Collaborate with manufacturing test and operations teams to review RF test fixture design and setup so that device RF performance can be tested efficiently to the correct specifications at the factory
