Shakers is seeking a Senior Python / Django Developer for a freelance, full-remote role with an international organization. You will own back-end development, testing and performance, building software that runs reliably in challenging environments.

You will deploy on Kubernetes, optimize database models and schemas (Postgres/SQLNoSQL), and participate in CI/CD, QA and documentation. Fluent English is required; Italian is a plus.

Competenze

• 5-8 years building production Python/Django systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes deployment/maintenance, Docker, Git-based workflows.
• Database optimization experience (Postgres, SQL/NoSQL).
• Agile / CI-CD delivery and strong QA testing discipline.
• Bonus: experience delivering web solutions for low-bandwidth / constrained environments.
• Fluent English (Italian a plus).

Mansioni

• Develop, test and debug back-end features; maintain near-total test coverage on the CI build server
• Run performance and stress testing to validate the system scales
• Optimize data models and database performance (Postgres, SQL/NoSQL)
• Deploy and maintain services on Kubernetes; conduct code reviews and keep docs to standard
• Advise on Python/Django best practices and support knowledge transfer to internal staff
