About the Company

A global renewable energy developer specialising in the delivery of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. The company is actively expanding its presence across Italy, with a strong pipeline and long-term investment in the market.

About the Role

As Project Manager – Solar & BESS, you will lead the delivery of utility-scale projects across Italy from ready-to-build through to commissioning. This includes managing contractors, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role is based in Italy, with flexible / hybrid working and travel to project sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project delivery from ready-to-build through to commissioning and handover
• Coordinate and oversee site construction activities, including civil, electrical, and mechanical works
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on-site to ensure timely and quality execution
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources; report progress to senior management
• Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, permits, and quality standards
• Act as the main point of contact between site teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders
• Oversee grid connection process and interface with DNO / TSO and relevant authorities

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in renewable energy project delivery
• Background in solar PV and / or BESS preferred
• Strong understanding of Italian permitting and grid processes
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Engineering or technical background ideal
• Willingness to travel across Italy
