Liberal Group is seeking an experienced chemical/process engineer to join its Oil & Gas/Power division in Italy. The role involves performing process simulations, sizing equipment, conducting risk assessments, and interfacing with clients and vendors to ensure project success.

The candidate will participate in meetings, assist with proposals, review vendor drawings, and support construction activities including commissioning and as-built documentation.

Competenze

• Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas sector or Power Plant process equipment design.
• Good knowledge of API, ASME and Oil & Gas company standards.
• Proficient in English and IT tools.

Mansioni

• Perform process simulations using HYSYS, Pipenet, SmartPlant P&ID or similar software.
• Size and select equipment, materials and process systems.
• Lead or assist in HAZOP studies and follow-up actions.
• Interface with clients and vendors to define scope and resolve issues.
• Attend client/contractor meetings; prepare minutes and action lists.
• Assist in preparing engineering project proposals.
• Check vendor drawings for design accuracy and compliance.
• Support construction activities and respond to commissioning and as-built docs.
• Plan and conduct independent work on engineering techniques and criteria.

• Process simulation experience with HYSYS, Pipenet, SmartPlant P&ID or other process engineering software;
• Sizing and selecting equipment, materials, and process systems.
• Assuming responsibility for risk assessment, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies and its related followup;
• Interfacing with Client and vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues, and assist with preparation of procurement documents.
• Participation in Client/contractor meetings, preparation of meeting minutes and action items lists.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
• Check vendor drawings to insure design accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Construction support activities including responding to commissioning and as built documents preparation;
• Responsible to plan and conduct independent work regarding the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria;
• Preparation and implementation of PFD, H&M balance, P&ID’s, and all the required process calculations and documents.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

• Capability to work in a multicultural enviroment

• Good knowledge and practice of IT programs
• Good Knowledge of AutoCAD;
• Knowledge of API, ASME and Oil and Gas Companies’ standards (i.e Shell, Total Aramco);
• Knowledge of Steam Engineering in power plants shall be considered a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
