Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Operations Supervisor in the Operations department to help us on our journey to revolutionise road freight logistics. The role is located in our Milan office.

What You Will Do
  • Manage your teams to ensure FTL transport coverage for open available freight using internal tools, external capacity resources, and learned sales techniques.
  • Improve the relationship with our key suppliers and support the Procurement department in tender and contract evaluation.
  • Set and review KPIs and targets for the teams while ensuring adherence with company‑wide goals.
  • Support the yearly budget definition and ensure periodic reports and analysis to the Management.
  • Organise periodical meetings to present strategy results to the management, translating company directives into objectives and actions.
  • Supervise the team in the execution of daily transports and support in handling all arising inquiries from carriers and customers.
  • Work with carriers and customers to implement projects and solve complex business challenges, identify opportunities and proactively identify solutions.
What We Are Looking For
  • Confident in using data to analyse and track key metrics.
  • 5+ years experienced in road freight with a major focus on Full Truck Load transport, preferably with freight forwarding and brokerage experience.
  • 3+ years experienced in people management with at least 3 direct reports.
  • Updated on freight forwarding market dynamics.
  • Experience in managing framework agreements with suppliers.
  • A great problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Knowledgeable on how to validate business opportunities (feasibility and sustainability).
  • Fluent Italian (native level) and fully proficient in English.
