Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is undergoing unprecedented growth on a global scale. Our logistics teams are changing the way we interact with customers worldwide and solving some of the biggest logistical challenges facing the entire industry.

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team. This individual will own a process/product roadmap and ensure delivery to the vision of the next generation of AMZL delivery stations. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazon’s growth to drive end‑to‑end product delivery from inception to execution. Hands‑on leaders with experience managing new product and process development for high‑value programs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate, define, plan and manage the rollout of product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
  • Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products.
  • Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
  • Lead execution of the product with a high level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
  • Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap. Own part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution. Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.
  • Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
  • 30% travel based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation.
  • Experience developing and designing equipment.
  • Experience managing the lifecycle of cross‑functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems.
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field.
  • Operations Management/Distribution Center experience with direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or other technical projects.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet programs.
  • Experience with design and/or implementation automation solutions, such as conveyors, sorters, high‑speed manufacturing and packaging lines, robotic work cells.
  • Proven technical leadership for industrial engineering projects or programs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
