We're looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer for a leading global management consulting firm.

It provides consulting and technology services to large enterprise clients, including organizations across finance, media, and technology sectors.

Project Description

The client is supporting the implementation of an internal financial data platform in a client’s environment through a lift-and-shift deployment.

The goal is to adapt, integrate, and validate the existing platform within the client’s infrastructure — ensuring compliance with technical, security, and authentication standards.

You will work alongside a DevOps / Release Specialist and client-side engineering teams to adjust application components, integration logic, and for seamless operation within the target environment.

Must Have

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer (backend or integration-focused)
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, including API development and system integration
• Strong understanding of cloud environments and containerized deployments (Docker)
• Experience integrating with authentication and authorization systems (OAuth2, SAML, SSO)
• Excellent debugging, documentation, and communication skills in client-facing contexts

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with lift-and-shift or migration projects
• Exposure to module bundling or frontend build tools
• Familiarity with CI / CD automation and deployment validation
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles
• Experience working in cross-functional and distributed engineering teams
• Golang programming language knowledge or ready to learn.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Collaborate with customer and technical teams to analyze environment-specific requirements and adapt components accordingly
• Contribute to backend and integration updates in Node.js, ensuring API compatibility and secure communication
• Support authentication integration with identity providers
• Validate and fine-tune the React-based frontend for environment compatibility and deployment readiness
• Participate in environment validation and testing across cloud-hosted and client-side environments
• Work closely with the DevOps / Release Specialist on deployment configuration, CI / CD integration, and release validation
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to knowledge transfer for client teams
