Job summary

Systal Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise LAN/WLAN and security solutions across customer environments. You will manage Cisco Catalyst/Nexus platforms, deploy Cisco ISE NAC, and lead infrastructure upgrades with a focus on resiliency and high availability.

The role requires hands-on expertise in campus networking, data center technologies, and network security, with strong communication and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in enterprise LAN and Wireless environments.
• Strong expertise with Cisco Catalyst Switching, Cisco Nexus Switching, Cisco ISE, Cisco Wireless Infrastructure.
• Advanced knowledge of LAN architecture and design, Enterprise campus networking, Routing and switching technologies, network resiliency and high-availability, network segmentation and access control.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
• Proven experience supporting manufacturing and industrial environments and production facilities.
• Experience managing network refresh, migration, transformation and deployment projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Architectural and solution-design approach to problem solving.
• Team player with leadership attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WLAN, and network security solutions.
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus switching platforms.
• Design, deploy, and administer Cisco ISE environments (NAC, authentication, authorization, segmentation).
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Cisco Wireless infrastructures.
• Configure Layer 2/3 networking: VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP, OSPF, BGP.
• Lead infrastructure refreshes, transformations, migrations, and upgrades.
• Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs and operational docs.
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Project teams.
• Participate in customer meetings and service reviews.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer (LAN) with strong expertise in enterprise campus, data center, wireless, and network access control technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of LAN infrastructures, ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence across customer environments. This role can be based in either Turin or Milan and will require onsite working.

What will you be doing?

This role requires a customer-focused professional with a strong architectural mindset, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and willingness to participate in on-call support and onsite activities when required. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :

• Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WLAN, and network security solutions.


• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus switching platforms.


• Design, deploy, and administer Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) environments, including Network Access Control (NAC), authentication, authorization, and segmentation policies.


• Deploy, manage, and optimize Cisco Wireless infrastructures.


• Configure and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking services including: VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP, OSPF, BGP


• Lead technical activities for infrastructure refreshes, transformations, migrations, and technology upgrades.


• Produce and maintain High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), operational procedures, and technical documentation.


• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Project teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.


• Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and service reviews.
