Job summary

Vertiv in Italy seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop components and assemblies for Thermal Management products. You will create 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation, and support NPDI from concept to launch.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Product Management, and Validation teams, perform calculations and tolerance analyses, and support prototype testing and verification activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4-8 years of experience in mechanical product design and development.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably PTC Creo.
• Experience using PLM systems and engineering change-management processes.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, piping systems, welded structures, and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Knowledge of BOM structures and product configuration management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Italian language proficiency is preferred for effective collaboration with local functions and suppliers.
