RINA is currently recruiting for a Milano Marine Surveyor to join its Milano office in Italy within the Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division. The Senior Surveyor will lead testing activities and inspections at manufacturers, coordinating resources and serving as a technical and commercial reference for clients.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Naval or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years' experience as Surveyor or 4 years in engineering/inspection with an IACS Classification Society.
• Proficiency in Italian and English.
• Ability to read engineering plans and understand materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in testing activities, new building or in-service surveys, and Marine Management Systems audits.

• Maintains awareness of developments impacting testing and verification workflows.
• Conducts inspections and testing activities mainly at manufacturers to verify compliance with standards.

• Plans and coordinates testing activities, ensuring cooperation with colleagues and resources.
• Monitors service quality and supports junior personnel when required.
• Serves as primary client contact, managing technical and commercial aspects.
• Ensures client satisfaction through clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
• Provides guidance to less experienced surveyors involved in testing activities.
• Ensures consistency, completeness, and quality of all assigned activities.
• Upholds integrity, transparency, and fairness across processes.
• Promotes testing and product verification services within the region.
• Conducts technical/commercial meetings to explain procedures and identify opportunities.
• Supports preparation of technical-commercial proposals (scope, cost, scheduling, compliance).
• Ensures proper execution of testing activities, verifications of resources and compliance.
• Manages communication with clients throughout test execution.
• Monitors market trends to support service portfolio development.
