As global leader in coatings and paints, we are seeking for you a proactive Senior Logistic Specialist who wants to build an exciting and solid career in Hempel, our expert Logistic department at Hempel. This position offers you the window to actively participate in refining our process management systems. You will work alongside our Logistics Manager for South-East Europe, be based in either Italy or Turkey, and collaborate closely with our factories and a diverse team of colleagues worldwide. You will have the opportunity to focus on identifying delivery problems, solutions, and improvement of transportation service levels. You have solid experience in leading and engaging the logistics team to plan, direct and control all related logistics activities such as warehousing processes, shipping and transport status in the required way to ensure process efficiency on time and in accordance with legal and qualitative requirements.

  • Shape regional logistics strategies that support company goals, supervise performance with KPIs, adjust when needed, and look for smart ways to cut costs.
  • Lead all aspects of and coordinate the flow of goods to customers and warehouses, making sure deliveries hit the mark on quality, timing, and cost.
  • Handling invoicing and supervising financial reserves for transport costs, while coordinating the distribution of dangerous goods for internal and external sales across all modes of transport, including road, air, rail, sea, and multimodal options
  • Support the Negotiate contracts with third‑party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.
  • Supervise service level agreements (SLAs) and manage relationships.
  • All tasks and responsibilities associated with this role.
What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Your experience in inventory replenishment and management, warehousing processes, purchasing, shipping, and transport is required for this role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and the Dynamic system. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems being a plus.
  • This role requires strong communication skill in English.
