ABB Switzerland zoekt een R&D Senior Hardware Engineer voor de Electrification divisie. Je werkt aan UPS-productlijnen en rapporteert aan de Chapter Lead. De rol is hybride met locatie in Quartino, Zwitserland, en vereist uitgebreide ervaring in analoge/digitale schakelingen en power electronics.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with electrical systems and complex power electronic systems.
• Experience in digital and analog circuit design and simulation; EMI design, mitigation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for industrial products.
• Familiarity with product regulations and industry standards (IEC, UL).
• Proficiency in documentation systems, including ECNs and BOMs.
• Experience leading failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

• Execute a variety of complex technology and engineering assignments within defined processes.
• Define technical specifications, perform circuit simulations, and develop projects requiring expertise in analog, digital, and power systems.
• Lead design optimization and identify solutions to maximize integration across mechanical, electrical, and PCBA with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems, components, and interfaces.
