Job summary

Xsolla Inc. is seeking a Senior FinOps Engineer to lead cloud and infrastructure financial management across GCP, AWS, and on‑prem environments.

You will drive cost transparency, optimize spend at scale, and partner with engineering, product, and finance to align infrastructure with business priorities. The ideal candidate brings deep cloud platform experience, Kubernetes‑centric operations, and the ability to turn usage patterns into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure with a focus on cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (priority) and AWS and cloud pricing models.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes resource allocation, autoscaling, and cost attribution.
• Proficiency with cloud cost tools and observability dashboards.
• Strong analytical and data‑engineering skills with dashboards and forecasting.
• Experience driving cross‑functional initiatives and stakeholder alignment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud cost optimization strategy across GCP, AWS, and on‑prem infrastructure.
• Analyze compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes usage for cost savings.
• Build forecasting models, dashboards, and automated cost reporting.
• Develop tagging standards, budgeting processes, and governance policies.
• Guide workload placement and scaling strategies with engineering and finance.
• Promote FinOps best practices including rightsizing and reservations.
• Create tooling and pipelines for cost monitoring and attribution across clusters and VMs.
• Educate teams and communicate insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
