Arcadis is seeking a freelance Electrical Systems Specialist for a Milan/Monza client in Italy. The role ensures electrical design compliance, oversees FEED and design phases, coordinates with EPC contractors, and supports FATs and project engineering schedules.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in design, engineering and construction, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, familiarity with NEC/IEEE/IEC, and hands-on experience with ETAP and MS Office.

Competenze

• 10–15 years of experience in design, engineering and construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or BA in Science with EE focus.
• Familiar with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC and other international electrical standards.
• Experience with analogue and digital control systems including PSA, DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
• Strong English language skills for analysis and presentations.
• Experience with ETAP or similar software and MS Office.

Mansioni

• Review design packages for electrical systems and equipment incl. transformers, motors, MCC, switchgear, distribution network, control equipment, power outlets.
• Prepare the Project Design Basis Document as per the project scope.
• Prepare the entire project load lists based on the project scope.
• Produce technical reports and specifications for electrical equipment.
• Manage electrical activities of EPC contractors during FEED and design phase.
• Coordinate with Project managers to finalize Electrical Engineering scope.
• Analyze major equipment in the design package.
• Review and respond to technical and site queries.
• Support and attend FATs.
• Ensure design work complies with client standards and regulations.
• Assist in evaluating MR, TBE and AR; perform procurement support.
• Review Change Orders for compliance and budget alignment.
• Work with Engineering Teams to ensure facility integrity in terms of HSE.
• Provide technical assurance for electrical deliverables.
• Approve electrical engineering packages before issue for construction.
• Lead improvements for installations or modifications.
